5 steps to face illness
1 — Reckoning
You’ve been diagnosed with a terminal illness. It is there, inside of you. Rather than fight against your own self, accept its existence and save your energy for its treatment.
2 — It’s OK to be selfish
Dedicate all your resources to yourself. That includes selecting foods that please you and feed you, exercise that strengthens you, and resting.
3 — Medical options
Get a second opinion, maybe a third. Consider alternative therapies. But remember that doctors are not magicians, and that each may propose a different therapy. Ask questions until you feel comfortable/clear on the pros and cons of each option.
4 — Decision
YOU must make the decision based on your limited understanding of doctor’s recommendations. Trust your gut feeling. Whichever therapy you choose, do not second-guess it or look back.
5 - Look forward
Whatever the outcome, you have given it your best shot. Henceforth, Celebrate Every new Breath that you have been granted. Focus on enjoying yourself even in the most dire moments. Trust in Life!
